When life gives you lemons...make homemade lemon glaze and put it on store bought sugar cookie dough immediately.

While we love squeezing fresh citrus into our favorite cocktails, Gretchen decided to bake these cookies with her youngest and they were a big hit.

She used leftover store bought sugar cookie dough from the holidays (yes, she checked the expiration date twice) and made use of her heavy lemon tree with a simple and sweet activity.

• 2 cups confectioners' sugar

• 2 tablespoons finely grated lemon zest, plus 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice

*JTI Tip: Add more sugar for thicker consistency if desired. Enjoy!
