You might think this sounds like an ambitious try, but it’s not as uncommon or strange as you might think. And no, the facial hair won’t grow back thicker and darker.
Pucker up! If you haven’t heard, apple cider vinegar is one of the “must haves” in your health libation rotation. Detoxification, increased energy and improved digestion are common claims to apple cider vinegar but the list goes on! Acne improvement, lower cholesterol, balancing blood sugar levels, weight loss, and a managing candida, bad breath and arthritis are additional benefits to name a few.
Apple cider vinegar is made by exposing apple cider to yeast and bacteria, which begins the alcohol fermentation process, converting the sugars into alcohol. Once the sugars have turned, a second fermentation process occurs, in which the the alcohol is converted into vinegar by acetic acid forming bacteria. Organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (like Bragg’s) also contains what is referred to as “mother,” which sounds super scary and weird, but it’s really just strands of proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria that give it that “murky” appearance. Bravo, science. Don’t let that scare you…it’s actually really good for you.
We’re not suggesting you take a shot first thing each morning...that’s a die-hard move. We researched and tried an array of apple cider vinegar goodness and narrowed it down to a short list of our favorites. They include drinks, concoctions and even gummies you and your kids are sure to love.
